It gives me immense pleasure to invite the physicians of the country to the 73rd Annual Conference of the Physicians of India- APICON 2018.

API was established in 1944 with the aim of promoting collaboration, enabling knowledge sharing, advancing treatment practices and skills, and supporting academic endeavor in the field of MEDICINE  in India, by  conducting it’s annual National conferences at various cities of the country.

Our beautiful city, has successfully organised four national conferences in the past- 1965, 1975, 1985 & 1998. Now, “Bees saal baad”, Bangalore has the illustrious honour to host the national conference once again.

The term, APICON, was coined during the 1985 conference. API Bhavana, which was constructed in 2002, became the first building to be owned by any API chapters in the country- a testament of our dedication and sense of economy.

This year, in continuation with the tradition of APICON, we have scheduled various lectures, scientific sessions, and interactive workshops led by prominent practitioners in the field. We’re confident you will find the conference insightful and motivating.

The city is well connected to all parts of the country by air, road and railways. It’s close proximity to many famous tourist places – Nandi Hills, Mysore, Belur, Halebidu, Shravanabelagola, Bijapur, Badami, Bandipur, Dandeli, Ooty, Tirupathi, Mahabalipuram just to name a few – has made it one of the most frequently visited cities in India.

The weather in Bangalore during conference period will be one of the best and most pleasant times to visit the city.

The organising committee extends a warm welcome to all members of API and physicians of the country. We hope to meet you in Bangalore during the conference to exchange knowledge, relax, and refresh before resuming your duties back home.
